Underwater photography offers the possibility of many exciting and rare photographic opportunities. I have the privilege of diving and shooting in one of the most diverse areas of the world in terms of marine species and marine biodiversity, the Indo-Pacific Region. Every dive is a unique opportunity to capture images ranging in scale of small invertebrates to large marine turtles. I try to illustrate in my images the beautiful life that lives in our oceans and the fragile state that many of these species are tragically facing. |

Currently based in the Philippines, Jacob does considerable amounts of travel, working on freelance assignments and shooting stock photography for his collection here at jacobimages.com. His aim as a photographer is to capture inspirational images that motivate, educate and show a side of cultures most people are unaware of. His images often reflect his bio-ecologist background and sensitivity to the human condition. It is in challenging situations or unusual places that he feels most comfortable and thrives as an artist.
